Nishi

Nishi has always been into drawing ever since he was a child. Nishi's Art work is based on Japanese Calligraphy, Ukiyoe Art and Japanese Family Crests. He is also into the seasons, each season in Japan has a vivid difference in color and is reflected in his Art.

During the creation process, the work talks to Nishi. The artist closely communicates with his Art while he is working. Materials for the artwork are also very important. When you see Nishi's work, you can see dynamic brush strokes and the characteristic detail in the piece. The artist intention is to create a new wave/style in art merging Painting and Japanese calligraphy.

Nishi uses various tools and materials, such as Spray paint and Washi-paper, however, most of Nishi's work is created using a Japanese brush and Sumi-paint. The work featured in the following pages makes use of a wooden canvas.
